Mission Statement:
The Therapeutic Recreation Association of St. Louis (TRAGSL) is committed to the professional responsibilities for trained and certified Recreation Therapists, the clients we serve and the community. Through educating, advocating and networking, we strive to increase the knowledge and opportunities for therapeutic recreation.
The association is designed to identify needs of the TR professional and to implement strategies to meet those needs. The ultimate goal of TRAGSL is to promote the TR profession, particularly as it applies to pertinent issues in the metropolitam area. Our intent is to address credibility through the exchange of professional information ranging from programming trends to therapeutic recreation legislative issues.
TRAGSL is a great way to network with other TR professionals and keep up with new approaches to old trends. This is also a great way to keep track of job opportunities, CEU and other continuing education opportunities in the field.
Since TRAGSL is an organizational member of the Missouri Parks and Recreation Associations, it allows members the ability to join MRPA at a discounted cost. As a member of the MTRS portion of MRPA, you will receive the most current information about trends, certifications, workshops and issues, legislative monitoring, progressional information exchange and retrieval, and opportunities to attend CEU sessions. You will receive the MPRA publications IMAGES.
